Join us Sunday, August 9 in Tompkins Square Park for our annual Hiroshima-Nagasaki & Nuclear Weapons exhibit 
View the exhibit at Temperance Plaza from noon to 5 pm

At 1 pm Pax Christi Metro NY will hold a “Prayer and Public Witness” event — next to NYC WRL’s exhibition — that will include a prayer for those who have suffered the effects of nuclear weapons development and use, ringing a gong 81 times for the 81 years since the onset of the nuclear age, followed by leafleting/procession around the park to inform and invite action to abolish nuclear weapons

Following the screening there will be a discussion lead by Marian Ronan, Brooklyn For Peace, Vera Anderson, Nevada Desert Experience, John Breitbart, NYC War Resisters League, Emmitt Sklar, District Leader, Brooklyn AD 44.
With ongoing conflicts heightening nuclear tensions and the current U.S. arms race, An Ordinary Insanity is a timely film to help mobilize broad public concern and action for arms control and nuclear disarmament.
